Measuring with an existing pole or rail
Our rails and poles can be easity cut to any size with a small hack-saw. If you dont find the exact size you need, just order the one that is the next size up from your measurement.
Please note that the lengths stated do not include any finials. For example, if your curtain pole is 150cm, and the finials are each 10cm, then the total length will be 170cm.
Measuring for a new pole or rail
Our curtain poles are available with, or without rings. Each being suitable for curtains without or with eyelets respectively.
If you need additional curtain rings or hooks these are available as accessories.
We can also provide a range of matching holdbacks for the perfect finishing touch for your curtains.
Choosing a pole diameter
When choosing a curtain pole from Poles Direct, the diameter will depend on the weight of the curtains. The table below offers a guide to selecting a suitably sized pole depending on the curtain weight.
Remember to take into account any extra weight such as linings. Also note that pencil pleat curtains will have a greated fullness than a curtain with eyelets for example so the weight will also be greater.
